The Day At Blackberry Hospital

Haiz.  The poor life every handphone that lived with me, save for that 1st Nokia one like 10 years ago.  Well, phones in that era are very hardy, no?

So what made me register my BB in the hospital early today is the rubber padding button crumbled apart late last night, revealing a pit of Black Hole in that supposed volume increase bit = I cannot hear louder, only softer 'cos the decrease bit is still hanging on.

By hanging on = it's split but hasn't crumble yet.

=.=

It was a very enjoyable visit to the Blackberry Hospital in Leng Kee, and the below are some of the funnier conversation with the nice service staff.....

-----------------------------------

Staff:  You need to pay $150 to replace the whole rubber casing.
Me:  O_O!!  What?  For that rubber?
Staff:  Errr....hehehe....yah.
Me:  Haiz....破财挡灾 lah....
Staff:  Hahahaha.....Yours under warranty?
Me:  Oh yeah, *flip open the warranty card to her*, neh, still under warranty one.
Staff:  Then you can get a new phone for that $150.
Me:  O_O!!  Woah.  真的吗?
Staff:  真的。
Me:  New 的?
Staff:  New 的.
Me:  Lai ah, hood ah!
Staff:  Hahahaha......

--------------------------------

Staff:  Here's the new phone.
Me:  *shifty eyes*  Hehehe.....new phone, re-con set, see-boh?  Hehehe.....
Staff:  Hahaha....I don't think so lah.  We were told they're new sets.  Take a look.  *hands over*
Me:  *examine all around very carefully*  Hmmm.....looks new.....
Staff:  Hehehe....
Me:  *holds closer to nose*  Smells new.....
Staff:  Hahahahaha.....
Me:  So this new phone....got new battery also?
Staff:  Ha....no new battery, you have to use your existing one.
Me:  Hai yah.  You all so smart.
Staff:  Hahahahaha......

-----------------------------

Me:  This 9300 Curve 的 rubber buttons like jin-chwee leh, I read on the internet.
Staff:  Yah, many of the customers say the same thing.
Me:  Hor, you also say!  Then 你们赚了多少个 $150!
Staff:  Hahahahahaha......

-----------------------------

*staff transfering my info from my old BB to the new one + radio was blaring away*

Me:  Wait.  Did I hear wrong?
Staff:  ??
Me:  There's a Justin Bieber Appreciation Day in New York?
Staff:  Hahahaha.....
Me:  He haven't die yet, right?
Staff:  Hahahaha.....yah, haven't.
Me:  Then why got an Appreciation Day for him?
Staff:  Hahahaha.....
Me:  Thought should be for people like Michael Jackson?  Those die liao ones?
Staff:  Hahahaha......
Me:  Jin weird leh.  Maybe I hear wrong.
Staff:  *whispers*  I also hear the same thing.....
Me:  Then I'm right!  Really got a Justin Bieber Appreciation Day in New York!  OMG.
Staff:  Hahahaha.....
Me:  But we gotta admit, he's very pretty for a boy.
Staff:  Hahahaha....yeah yeah....
Me:  Hope he grows into a man....hehehehe.....
Staff:  *chuckles*

----------------------------

Me:  Ermm.....for this $150, I can get back my Curve 9300......
Staff:  Yup.
Me:  Then can I like top up more to upgrade the model?
Staff:  Errrr.....sorry, cannot.....
Me:  Hai yah.  骗不到。
Staff:  Hahahaha.....

----------------------------

Me:  Psst.
Staff:  Yes?
Me:  You all maintain by Blackberry or M1 or Starhub one?
Staff:  This I also wanna know.  LOL
Me:  You all should ask for some money to upgrade your service centre.
Staff:  Hehehe....
Me:  1st time ever I go to a service centre, no machine to press for Q number but register on book one.  Hahahaha.....
Staff:  Hehehe.....Yah, others are more modern than us.
Me:  And the whole office jin lock-kok.  Very not Blackberry.....
Staff:  Hehehehe.....

**  Really, you see well-dressed executives, tai-tais here to check-in their Blackberry in this hospital, but this hospital looks like a 80s polyclinic.  Hahahaha.....boh hao-siao one, you go see.

----------------------------

The service was very prompt, professional and she was very knowledge in troubleshooting my new phone, which ran into some synchronising issue initially it fired up.  As Ah Fry is an IT idiot Fry, she has to call M1 on my behalf to articulate the emew issue for the username + password.

Below is the letter I emew over.....

Dear Person-In-Charge,

I was served by your service staff, Cyndee, today at your Blackberry Service Centre in Leng Kee Road.

She exhibited good professional knowledge, efficient services and maintained a very cordial atmosphere with me throughout the process.  It is especially notable that she is able to hold small talks with me through the long updating and data transfer period, something very lacking with many service staff in Singapore these days.

I thoroughly recommend her to your management for further career progression, she is an asset to have.

Please forward this letter to her for reference as a mark of appreciation in my part.

Please kindly acknowledge the receipt of this email so I know it reaches you safe and well.

Regards,
Ah Fry

够意思了吧?

Hehehehe.....
